How do you befriend a horse?

Befriend/ saddle put armor on and feed.

You right click the horse. It will probably buck you off and you have to keep clicking it until it doesn't buck you of and for a short time hearts will come from it's head like it does when you tame a wolf. Then you can right click it while you are on it and put on a saddle and any armor.
